Career Stream Purpose

The Immunology Key Account Manager (KAM) Private Market is responsible for driving access coverage availability and commercial performance of the immunology portfolio across private healthcare payers and specialty care channels in Mexico. This role leads strategic partnerships and negotiations with private insurance companies (e.g. GNP AXA MetLife) HMOs (e.g. Vitamedica) and specialty care wholesalers to ensure optimal listing accelerate patient access negotiate competitive commercial conditions and guarantee consistent product availability and inventory levels.

Level Differentiator

  • 8 10 years of experience in Key Account Management Market Access or Strategic Sales within pharmaceutical or biotechnology companies.
  • Demonstrated experience negotiating with private insurance companies (e.g. GNP AXA MetLife) and HMOs (e.g. Vitamedica)
  • Proven track record working with specialty care wholesalers distributors and specialty pharmacies.
  • Experience in Immunology Hematology Oncology Biologics Specialty Care or High-Cost Therapies required
  • Solid understanding of private healthcare reimbursement and distribution models in Mexico
  • Responsible for short to mid-term (1-3 years) execution of functional strategy and operational direction
  • Typically Reports to L2/L1

Career Stream Tasks

  • Develop and execute strategic account plans for major private insurance companies (GNP AXA MetLife) and HMOs (Vitamedica and similar)
  • Lead negotiations on coverage reimbursement pathways medical policy inclusion and commercial terms.
  • Influence benefit design clinical criteria and authorization pathways in alignment with brand and compliance guidelines.
  • Lead negotiations with specialty care wholesalers and distributors to secure product listing optimal commercial conditions and service-level agreements.
  • Ensure national and regional availability of immunology products across specialty pharmacies hospital channels and infusion centers.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels forecast demand and proactively mitigate supply risks in coordination with Supply Chain and Finance.
  • Translate Immunology BU strategy into actionable private market access and commercial plans.
  • Identify growth opportunities by payer segment geographic region and account potential.
  • Support launch and lifecycle strategies for new immunology products and indications in the private market
  • Ensure full compliance with internal policies industry codes and payer/institutional regulations.

Stakeholders

  • Communicate and influence cross-functional team to guarantee successful strategy implementation (Market Access Medical Affairs Sales Finance Legal and Supply Chain to deliver integrated account strategies)
  • Develop strong trusting relationships with senior business leaders across Galderma
  • Cooperate with and coordinate activities with external service providers
  • Lead negotiations with insurance company payers
