Job Summary

The primary responsibility of this position is to supervise the loan area staff and ensure efficient operations. This role manages and oversees the accurate awarding disbursement reconciliation and auditing of private and federal loan programs totaling more than $100 million as well as administering all loan programs and the Federal Work-Study program. Additional responsibilities include reviewing ISIR comments and loan aggregates to ensure compliance with federal loan awarding requirements.

Key duties include providing staff training identifying and resolving deficiencies in loan and Federal Work-Study processing researching solutions creating test scenarios performing data mapping and managing projects. Project management tasks involve defining timelines establishing goals and setting measurable outcomes. This position also assists the Associate Director with system testing creates change requests and collaborates with Administrative Technology on new system development.

Further responsibilities include coordinating with financial aid teams and campus departments to update policies and procedures in compliance with Title IV regulations. Compliance duties encompass monitoring enrollment reporting auditing Return of Title IV processing responding to Borrower Defense and fraud claims and managing FVT and GE reporting. The role also involves developing queries reviewing system data and configurations and conducting internal audits of the student information system. Additionally this position serves as the primary contact for private and alternative lenders.

$5039 - $5834 per month

Required Qualifications

1. Bachelors (or higher) degree in business communications humanities social sciences or a closely related field to the position.
2. Four (4) years (48 months) of full-time or part-time equivalent professional experience working in student services financial aid/loans or a closely related field within higher education or a related agency.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Masters degree
2. Experience using a query language to develop reports
3. Experience with Peoplesoft/Campus Solutions
4. Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state financial aid regulations.

Work Hours

Core hours are Monday through Friday 8am to 4:30pm.

Functional Expectations

Must be able to complete the following with or without a reasonable accommodation:

3. Move about in various locations across campus as needed to complete day-to-day work.

The Civil Service examination for this classification is based on your application materials and responses to the supplemental questions. No participation other than submission of applicant materials is required from applicants that qualify to take the exam. If you meet the minimum required qualifications for this position you will receive a score calculated based on your education and experience and your name will be placed on the active employment register by exam score.
