Introduction to role
TheInsightsSenior Manager US Oncologygeneratesactionable insights that help shape brand strategy and tactics based on a combination of primary research and secondary data across customer segments HCP and Consumer. The InsightsSenior Managerwill use sound market research along with strong analytical andcriticalthinking skills toguidebrand teams in makingkeydecisions informing brand performance and forecasts developing promotionaltactics andoverall brand strategy. Keys to success in this position are superlative communication consultative and influencing skills andastrong knowledgeofprimary market researchtechniquesand secondary data analysis.
This role reports to the SeniorDirectorIntegratedInsights and sits withinUSOBEX (Oncology Business Excellence) aninclusiveteam that partners with the US Oncology commercial organization to drive strategic decisions by providingobjective data-driveninsight generation and analytics.
The US Oncology organization has two geographics hubs one in Canada (Mississauga Ontario) and one in the US (Gaithersburg Maryland).This role is based in Canada but will cover the US market.
Accountabilities
Identifykey business needs with stakeholders and build research/analysis plans to deliver actionable insightstoshape strategy collaboratingcloselywith forecasting and analytics colleagues
Continuously assess priorities on market research and insight plans. Complete market research projects with minimal supervision by leading external agency work. Develop and maintain the market research project budget.
Translate insights results to inform forecasting assumptions and recommended strategic & tactical actions tobrandleadership
Establish and manage ongoing competitiveand market intelligence monitoring competitor news; deliveranalyses that highlight market gapsopportunitiesand threats.
Build reports and presentations that clearly and succinctly highlight the actionable insights combined with businessimplications&options
Compile analyze and visualize findings from secondarydatasetslike claimsEMR dataetcand/or sales data (including identification andappropriate useof data sources) in partnership with Analytics colleagues
Leadinsights metrics/KPI tracking for the brand( dataetc)acting asthe voice of HCPs and consumersfor the brand
Create the integrated insights picture for the brand weaving together primary market researchCIsecondary analysis and analytics from US Insights & Analytics colleagues

Essential Skills/Experience
Bachelors degree with a preference for a quantitative field (e.g. Engineering Data Science Statistics Math Economics Computer Science Operations Research)
4years ofexperienceatapharmaceutical/biotechnology manufacturer orworkingin the biopharmaceutical industry (e.g. management consulting market researchdata/analyticsinvestment banking)
2years of primary market research and analytical experience applyingvariedprimary research techniques and secondaryinformationanalysis
Proven ability to influence laterally and vertically
Strong understanding of primary market research tools and techniques
Desirable Skills/Experience
Advanceddegreein a quantitative fieldor Advanced Marketing Degree (e.g. MBA)
Insights launch experience with a new brand orindication
Experience working in Oncology
Experience working with AI tools for insight generation AI agent building and monitoring AI hallucinations.
Experience working with synthetic respondent panels/digital twins for Insights.

Annual base salary for this position ranges from $126978 to $166659. AstraZeneca is committed to providing fair and equitable compensation opportunities to all colleagues. Our compensation policies and practices have been designed to allow colleagues to progress through the salary range over time as they progress in their role. The range provided in this posting represents an offer pay range used in a majority of situations. The base pay offered will vary depending on multiple individualized factors including the candidates skills and experience job-related knowledge and other specific business and organizational some cases offers outside the range may also be considered to address unique circumstances.
In addition our permanent positions offer an annual Variable Pay Bonus/Short Term Incentive opportunity as well as eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (if applicable to role). Benefits offered for permanent roles include a competitive Flex Benefits & Retirement Savings Program 4 weeks paid vacation and annual Personal Days. Fixed Term Contract/Temporary positions (excluding students) are offered a Contract Benefits Program.
