  • The Manager Policy and Briefings provides highlevel policy coordination and briefing support to the Deputy Secretary ensuring timely and accurate executive material
  • Temporary 12-month full-time (35 hours per week) opportunity with a possibility of an extension to 15-months or longer
  • Role commencing from July 2026
  • Parramatta and Sydney CBD office location hybrid working supported

  • Salary relative to experience and ranges from $152677 to $167562 super

Our Conservation Programs Heritage and Regulation Group (CPHR) is currently seeking a Manager Policy and Briefings for a 12-month opportunity to cover a period of leave.

As the Manager Policy and Briefings you will provide highlevel executive support within the Deputy Secretarys Office coordinating the preparation and delivery of accurate and timely policy advice briefing notes meeting support and parliamentary material.

About You

You will have demonstrated experience providing highquality policy advice and coordinating executive and Ministerial briefings in a complex government environment.

You bring a strong understanding of government protocols governance approvals processes and parliamentary requirements along with the ability to manage competing priorities exercise sound judgement and handle sensitive and confidential matters with discretion. With welldeveloped written and interpersonal skills you can translate complex issues into clear concise advice and build effective working relationships with senior executives and stakeholders.

You will also have experience leading and supporting a small team fostering a collaborative and responsive working culture focused on delivering timely accurate and wellconsidered outcomes.

Essential Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications and/or extensive experience in relevant field.
