The Broward County Board of County Commissioners is seeking qualified candidates for Human Services Administratorposition in the Housing Options Solutions and Supports Division (HOSS-D).
Coordinates social/human services within a large geographic area of Broward County and manages multi-service regional human services facility/facilities.
Works independently under limited supervision reporting major activities through periodic meetings.
Requires a Masters degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in business health or public administration social sciences human services or closely related field.
(One yearof relevant experience may be substituted for each year of required education depending upon area of assignment.)
Requires four (4) years progressively responsible administrative experience in health care human services social services casework or the provision of social services to children and families including two (2) years of supervisory and/or social service program administration experience.
Doctorate Degree in Social Work Psychology Law Public or Business Administration or closely related field
Over three years of supervisory experience working in Homeless Continuum of Care Program.
One year experience as user in Homeless Management Information System
Bilingual English/Spanish or English/Haitian

Coordinates social or human services for homeless individuals and families who reside within Broward County and manages multi-service regional human services programs; provides supervision to subordinate staff; coordinates staff schedules and work assignments; completes staffs performance reviews and evaluations.
Designs and implements systems to track and gather data for all required reports and program planning; prepares weekly monthly and quarterly reports related to Performance Measures.
Consults reviews assesses and approves direct service interventions; reviews transfers encumbers and maintains section budget; reviews and approves Request for Disbursement packets.
Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with profit non-profit and faith-based agencies academic institutions cities and community groups to identify and implement services to address individual family and community needs and concerns.
Designs implements and maintains a system to collect data to identify and analyze trends for on-going program and service information for reports and planning and to measure program outcomes personnel performance and operational functions.
Assists in development of Division policies and operating procedures and special projects.
Develops implements and recommends strategies to carry out Divisions goals and plans and evaluates services/needs.
Directs the operations of the section including oversight of all contracts personnel and relationships with internal and external groups involved in planning delivery and monitoring of programs and services.
Serves as staff liaison and provides administrative support to various boards and committees; prepares highly complex materials about County services the local system of care and state and national policy.
Develops plans to address community needs including launching new programs and presents recommendations to the division department boards committees and Commission; serves as the Countys representative to high-level funder and stakeholder boards and councils and other groups to plan and evaluate systems of care.
Requires participation in Divisions outreach activities which may occassionally require working after hours and/or on weekends.
Supervision of staff planning directing and establishing administrative policy.
Budget implementation.
May be required to work nights/weekends/holidays.
Performs related work as assigned.
