About Us
NEPEAN Conveyors(a division ofNEPEAN) provides fully engineered turnkey conveying and materials handling solutions from concept to commissioning for some of the worlds largest mining companies. Established in 1985 it manufactures and markets conveyor components including pulleys idlers rapid advance-rapid retreat components and drive-heads and provides on-site installation maintenance and relocation of conveyor installations.
OurOpportunity
NEPEAN Conveyors are currently seeking an experienced Fitter/Leading Hand to support our ongoing growth to join the team. The position is a full-time permanent opportunity located in Unanderra NSW your duties will include but are not limited to:
- Assist Workshop Manager and Operations Manager
- Manage workshop fitting and assembly activities
- Supervise and mentor Fitter Tradespeople and Apprentices
- Training of staff
- Quality assurance and continuous improvement
- Complete Fitting work as required
- Oversee assembly of equipment
The RightPerson
To be considered for this opportunity the right person will have:
- Trade qualified Fitter/Machinist
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Basic hydraulics experience
- Experience with bearing/lock element disassembly and assembly preferred
- A current forklift license but not necessary
