Job Summary

Your opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a Risk & Security Supervisor to join our team at Westfield Chermside one of our largest and busiest centres.

Reporting to the Risk & Security Manager this role supports the delivery of risk and security initiatives across the centre helping ensure a safe and secure environment for our customers retailers contractors and centre teams.

In this dynamic and fast-paced environment youll play a key role in coordinating training supporting incident management and assisting with the operation and improvement of security systems and processes across the centre.

Day-to-day you will be responsible for:

Supporting the proactive management and response to incidents hazards emergencies and near misses across the centre
Coordinating risk and security training programs and ensuring training compliance across the security team
Supporting the management and performance of contracted security services
Assisting with the operation and monitoring of security systems including CCTV and related technology platforms
Maintaining accurate reporting and documentation across incident management and compliance activities
Building strong relationships with internal teams retailers contractors emergency services and external stakeholders
Supporting risk and security initiatives projects and operational improvements across the centre

As part of the centre operations leadership team you will also undertake Duty Manager responsibilities from time to time including rostered weekend shifts which are balanced with a day off in lieu.

This is a full-time permanent opportunity based onsite at Westfield Chermside.

What sets you apart

You bring experience within security risk management or operational environments with a proactive mindset and strong attention to detail. You thrive in fast-paced environments and enjoy working as part of a collaborative team.

You will also demonstrate:

Experience in security risk safety or operational roles within retail hospitality events facilities or similar environments
Confidence working with security technology and reporting systems including exposure to CCTV or monitoring platforms
Strong organisational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple operational tasks and deadlines
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Experience delivering or coordinating training programs is highly regarded
A proactive and adaptable approach when responding to incidents or operational challenges
