About the role
We are looking for a People & Culture Advisor to manage the day-to-day HR operations across the employee lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding while also contributing to projects that genuinely improve engagement culture and performance.
This is a pivotal time for MEC and our P&C team as we roll out strategic people initiatives across the business and we want someone who is just as comfortable managing the routine operational work as they are getting stuck into projects with real impact.
You will work closely with leaders across MEC in a flat collaborative environment meaning you will have visibility across the business and the chance to influence how we attract retain and grow our people.
What you can expect:
- Own the end-to-end employee lifecycle ensuring smooth onboarding contract changes probation management and offboarding.
- Partner with managers to coach advise and support on performance and employee relations.
- Help design and implement fun and impactful engagement initiatives that make MEC a great place to work.
- Contribute to recruitment workforce planning and HR reporting that informs business decisions.
- Keep us compliant with relevant employment legislation.
About You
- A self-starter who loves autonomy but enjoys working with a team that values collaboration.
- Skilled in relationship building especially with technically focused leaders who may need a guiding hand on people matters.
- Solid understanding of employment legislation and HR best practice.
- Good understanding and experience in a HRIS preferably Employment Hero.
- Flexible proactive and keen to help a growing business scale while maintaining a strong culture.
- Minimum 3 years experience in a generalist HR role and a relevant degree.
