Job Description:

Hitachi Rail is looking for a curious motivated Business Graduate who is ready to start their careers in a supportive purpose-driven environment. The position is based in Brisbane Australia as part of the Sequence Alliance.

The Sequence Alliance brings together four organisations Hitachi Rail the Department of Transport and Main Roads Queensland Rail and the Cross River Rail Delivery Authority as One Team with One Goal: to digitally transform South East Queenslands (SEQ) rail network. This collaboration unites Queensland Rails 160 years of local experience and operational excellence with Hitachi Rails global expertise in rail and digital signaling solutions.

As a Graduate you will rotate through key areas of the Program gain hands-on experience and build strong foundations through structured learning mentoring and real project work. You will be trusted with meaningful responsibilities from day one while being supported by experienced leaders who are invested in your development.

During your program you will work on real projects that make a tangible impact collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders learn industry best practices through on the job learning and build technical professional and leadership capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Business Graduate you will build strong foundational knowledge and gain handson experience across a broad range of business areas essential to successful project delivery.

Working with both local and international experts you will gain broad exposure across key business functions including finance risk reporting quality planning commercial and contractscontinuous improvement communicationand supply chain. Across the twoyear program you will rotate through these areas to build a strong foundation in program performance and strategic business operations developing the capabilities needed for a future career in project and performance management.

• Buildstrongrelationshipswithclientssubcontractorsandteammembers within the project.
• Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to ensure alignment between program performance and delivery functions.
• Support project management activities including reporting planning risk and continuous improvement initiatives
• Participate in structured development programs including workshops mentoring and training.
• Actively engage in performance development upskilling and hands-on learning across a multi-project program of work

Skills and Experience:

The qualifications and skills required for the role of Business Graduate will encompass a wide range of attributes including:

• A recent bachelors degree in business or project management
• Less than 2 years of experience
• Experience working collaboratively in team environmentsdemonstratingadaptability and initiative.
• Proficientknowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Be curious proactive and eager to learn about the railway industry
• Share our commitment to safety integrity and continuous improvement
• Communicate clearly and work well in diverse teams.
