Job Description: Greeter/Donation Attendant

Department: Thrift Store

Supervisor: Store Manager

SUMMARY: The Greeter/Donation Attendant for the thrift store is responsible for provide that welcoming first impression for customers ensuring that the area around the door stays presentable; provide superior service to customers visiting the store. also is responsible for watching the door and acting as monitors against theft. She/he may clean up any clutter around the door or organizing shopping baskets/carts. A successful Greater will be self-motivated attentive safe and punctual while upholding policies and safety standards specially during the COVID-19 pandemic

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Welcome all the donors/customers/employees/volunteers equally and treat everyone with respect.

Welcoming the clients with a pleasant smile.

Make sure all staff and visitors wear mask or facial covering which cover mouth and nose upon entering at the store.

Monitor clients keep social distance (6 feet apart) while waiting for check out at the register.

Disinfecting doors shopping carts and baskets anytime clients use them or leave the store.

Helping direct costumer to respective departments/sections.

Manage time well and maintain a positive working relationship with donors.

Acknowledge donor immediately (FIVE STARS CUSTOMER SERVICES) as they approach the donation door.

Handle the customer and their donations in a friendly respectful manner by providing excellent customer service and a sense of urgency.

Informs supervisor of problems and suggestions to improve process.

Follow established safety standards.

Maintain a hazard free work area immediately act with unsafe material or potentially hazardous substances.

Inform to the Store Manager immediately of any situation beyond his/her ability or authority.

Provide daily maintenance of the donation door area.

Should be familiar to explain about the promotional offer at the retail store in which he is employed.

Provide daily maintenance of the entrance and general store area.

Makes sure all trash containers are empty at the end of each day (discard the cardboard/garbage).

Directs oversight of opening and closing procedures by delegated staff.

Other duties may be assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
