Job Summary

Accounting Intern

As an Accounting Intern at Rocket Carwash your contributions will be vital to our financial operations. Youll dive into tasks like overseeing account reconciliations managing budgets and forecasting future revenues. Acting as both a financial detective and architect youll help build the systems that keep our accounts organized and our budget balanced. Whether youre cracking the code on budget variances or ensuring compliance every task you take on will ensure smooth and efficient financial operations.

This is an active role within the company offering face-time with key players and VP-level leaders. Youll be called upon to take ownership of significant projects that deliver tangible results impacting how we do business every day. Its more than an internshipits an opportunity to sharpen your accounting skills while playing a crucial role in our companys growth.

Each Day Is a New Day & Youll Make an Impact in The Following Ways:

Auditing & Review: Assist with internal and external audits and reviews for accuracy and compliance.
Cash Management: Help manage daily cash flow and support month-end close.
Invoice Management & Payables: Process invoices and manage vendor payments.
Inventory Management: Track and reconcile inventory for accurate reporting.
Real Estate Property Accounting: Support accounting tasks for real estate properties.
Budget Creation & Pro-forma: Assist in developing budgets and financial forecasts.
Process and SOP Development: Improve accounting processes and create SOPs.
Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements for accuracy.
Reconciliation: Help reconcile bank accounts and other financial ledgers.
Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze financial data to provide insights for decision-making.

Future Interns Are Encouraged to Have The Following:

Majors in Accounting Finance or Economics (juniors and seniors preferred).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the ability to quickly adapt to new software tools.
Solid understanding of basic accounting concepts with the ability to interpret financial data and contribute to accurate reporting.
Ability to manage multiple tasks prioritize work efficiently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong verbal and written communication skills able to convey information 1-on-1 and in group settings.
Have a passion for delivering high-quality results both independently and as part of a team.
