About GameChanger:
At GameChanger we help the youth sports community Live the Game Like Never Before.
We believe youth sports change lives on and off the field and were building the home of youth sports to support every coach athlete family member and fan along the way. Every product decision we make is designed to elevate the next generation through sports.
We are a remote-first dynamic technology company based in New York City solving meaningful challenges across youth sports and this summer were bringing together a highly intentional cohort of interns to help build whats next.
About the Internship Program:
Our Summer 2026 Internship Program is a 10-week fully onsite experience in NYC (June 1August 7 2026). This is not a shadowing program. As a GameChanger intern youll:
Work on real high-impact projects
Collaborate with cross-functional teams
Be paired with a dedicated mentor
Build and ship meaningful work
Present your results during our Final Demo Day
Weve intentionally designed a smaller cohort (12 interns) to provide strong mentorship meaningful ownership and real exposure to how we build and ship at scale.
The Position:
Youll work on GameChangers Core Services team to design write test and release code for your high-impact project. As part of the platform group you will build the foundation of our system with some of the most experienced engineers within our organization. During your time here you will learn about the technologies that drive our business and collaborate with other engineers while building new features which will help us to elevate the next generation through sports. We build our backend APIs with TypeScript Redis and PostgreSQL and run them in AWS. You will report to a Software Engineer on the Core Services team.
What Youll Work On:
Youll take ownership of clearly scoped high-impact work. This summer you will:
Work on a designated summer project that touches the frontend and backend with clear ownership
Scope and execute on defined work with support from the team
Learn how to contribute to a CI-driven scaled engineering organization
Participate in code reviews and technical discussions to increase your technical best practices and skills
Learn how engineering teams coordinate ship and maintain software in a scaled environment
Youll collaborate closely with teammates and stakeholders receive consistent feedback and contribute work that drives measurable impact.
What Were Looking For:
Currently pursuing a Bachelors degree in Computer Science (or related field) OR recently completed a software engineering bootcamp
1 years of experience with JavaScript
1 years of experience with git / version control
Experience writing clean organized code
Experience presenting your technical work through presentations written updates and documentation
Demonstrated experience collaborating with others on a shared codebase
Curious proactive and excited about building software
Comfortable receiving feedback and putting it into action
Enthusiastic about using technology to enhance peoples lives
