The business unit performs design analysis testing and fabrication of advanced technologies through the complete concept-to-flight development cycle.

Summary

We have a current opportunity for aContractor Electrical Test Engineer (Will Consider All Senior Levels) for up to 6 monthslocated at our facility in San Jose CA. You will design the test plans hardware and scripts required to validate deliverable space-grade hardware. Ensuring mission success by validating our hardware will work as intended in the extreme environmental conditions of outer space after a turbulent launch assent. You will have the opportunity to work on projects of all sizes including such high-profile programs as the human-rated Orion program.

Responsibilities

Executes test plans to assure reliability of product/equipment in conjunction with product design and specifications
Produces reports on each test activity and tracks test metrics
Provide technical expertise and support across multiple programs and technologies as needed
Responsible for testing all customer deliverable hardware and for special tests that cannot be performed in the test area
Perform test analysis diagnostics and preliminary evaluations of products
Monitor for continual test process improvement through failure analysis throughput analysis yield analysis and report to management periodically
Some minimal travel required

Ideal Experience

Bachelors degree with 6 years of experience.
Professional experience in aerospace test engineering or related field
Electrical testing experience at unit and spacecraft level. Troubleshooting as needed.
Ability to support testing outside of business hours including overnight and weekends on occasion

Desired Skills

Experience with environmental testing such as bench supplies and scopes with no support from more senior techs
Experience and understanding of AS9100 industry standard practices
Failure analysis experience such as Ishikawa (fishbone) 5-Why etc.
Experienced with frequent use and application of technical standards principles and theories
Strong written and oral communication skills
Possess strong leadership skills and a resiliently positive attitude
Basic MS Word & MS Excel competency (advanced MS Office & Office 365 skills a plus)

Pay range:

$56.00 - $96.00/hour
