Northampton High SchoolAP Exam Proctors$25.00 per hour Location: Northampton High School Department: Guidance / Testing Administration Dates: May 4-15 2026 and possibly longer if makeups are Overview:Northampton High School is seeking reliable and attentive individuals to serve as AP Exam Proctors for the upcoming Advanced Placement testing cycle. Proctors play a vital role in ensuring a fair secure and organized testing environment for our students. This is a temporary position ideal for community members retirees or individuals seeking short-term seasonal Responsibilities:Maintain Security: Adhere strictly to College Board regulations regarding testing security and -In: Assist with admitting students to the testing room checking identification and ensuring unauthorized items (such as cell phones and smartwatches) are stored Exams: Read specific testing scripts verbatim to students and distribute/collect testing materials (exam booklets and answer sheets) : Actively monitor the testing room to prevent cheating and ensure a quiet distraction-free Management: Accurately time each section of the exam and post remaining time for students to Address minor administrative issues that arise during testing and report any irregularities to the AP & Qualifications:Education: Must have graduated from high school (High School Diploma or equivalent required).Current high school students are not eligible. Background Checks:Must successfully pass a CORI check (Criminal Offender Record Information).Must complete a state-mandated fingerprinting check (out-of-pocket $50.00 fee) prior to the start : Must be available during the first two weeks of May. Exams typically run in morning (7:30 AM start) and afternoon (11:30 AM start) sessions. Punctuality is : Prior experience proctoring exams or working in an educational setting is preferred but not required. Training will be Candidate Profile:Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex written to remain quiet and vigilant for extended periods (exams can last 34 hours).Professional demeanor and ability to interact positively with high school Hired: Must have acceptable MA CORI and SAFIS Fingerprint Background Checks prior to start of :There are no benefits with this seasonal temporary position.
