Job Summary
Position Role: Principal SO1 CME advisor to Comd and COS SJC for planning and exploiting SJC Comms Media & Engagement activities and wider HQ/BLBs.
Responsibilities:
- Promote awareness of the Army C&E Plan ensure it is applied across the Comd and coord/cohered with all communication and engagement activities.
- Manage and maintain primary HQ products to communicate SJC purpose functions priorities and responsibilities.
- Implement DDC and Army C&E direction relating to CME activities ensuring it is applied nationally and regionally through the 2* formations.
- As required provide the CME lead in SJC GUARDIAN for Comd Director and COS.
- Collect collate cohere and promote proactive SJC stories to ACB and DDC for wider amplification using the SJC Comms Grid system.
- Prepare rapid reaction to emerging news stories to support and protect the Armys reputation utilising the SJC Comms Grid system.
- Build relationship with other depts across Defence wider Government and external agencies to support both HQ SJC and SJC GUARDIAN outputs.
- Maintain relationships with Defence Opinion Leaders correspondents editors Think Tanks and commentators.
