The Role: Production Manager
This is a hands-on leadership role overseeing all aspects of trailer production. You will be responsible for planning execution team performance quality control and operational efficiency. The position exists to ensure on-time delivery of high-quality trailers while continuously improving factory processes and maintaining a disciplined safety-first culture.

Key Responsibilities

Minimum 5 years experience managing a production floor or factory operation
Plan schedule and coordinate production to meet deadlines and turnover targets
Lead a team of 30 staff including 5 foremen with clear performance tracking
Ensure trailers meet specification and quality standards through rigorous checks
Enforce safety legal compliance and high housekeeping standards (e.g. 5S)
Drive process improvements to eliminate waste and boost efficiency
Provide technical guidance across welding fabrication and trailer assembly
Maintain discipline attendance and continuous development of team members

About You

5 years of experience in a production management role
Strong leadership planning and problem-solving skills
Proven track record managing teams and achieving production targets
Firm approach to discipline quality and operational control
Knowledge of trailer manufacturing processes beneficial
Familiarity with welding 12V electrics plumbing or cabinet fit-out an advantage
Hands-on proactive and focused on continuous improvement
