About the opportunity
The Management Accountant is a key position in the central Financial Planning and Analysis team. The team has responsibility for managing the Universitys annual budget and forecast processes assisting areas achieve their operating targets and strategic endeavours as well as financial administration and reporting of the Universitys research contracts.
What youll do:
- Ensure the provision of timely strategic financial advice and analysis to staff.
- Monitor financial performance and provide support and advice on financial and budget management issues.
- Prepare and deliver budget reporting and business processes.
- Develop strong client relationships with stakeholders.
- Financial modelling and analysis.
What were looking for:
- Completion of a relevant Degree and/or extensive relevant work experience.
- Completion of or progress towards an internationally recognised accounting bodys qualification or a combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
- Proven financial analytical and commercial skills with well developed problem solving and decision-making capabilities under tight deadlines.
- Ability to analyse and report on information from databases with proficiency in Microsoft applications and Finance systems.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work in a flexible and collaborative manner.
Salary details
Appointment to this role will be at HEO 7 and will have a total remuneration package of up to $130943 comprising base salary within the range of $101821 to $111917 plus 17% superannuation.
