Manager Consulting Expert

Position Description:

This role is hybrid and requires you to be at our downtown Toronto and/or Client office at a minimum 2-4 days per week - subject to change at any time.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

1. Business Development & Advisory Leadership
Lead and facilitate discovery workshops stakeholder interviews and strategic planning sessions to understand client objectives and challenges.
Conduct business requirements gathering ensuring clarity traceability and alignment with client outcomes.
Perform system rationalization and optimization assessments to identify redundancies technical debt and modernization opportunities.
Drive process engineering initiatives mapping current-state processes and designing optimized future-state workflows.
Support business development efforts by contributing to proposals solution outlines estimates and client presentations.
2. Architecting Enterprise AI & Technology Solutions
Design scalable enterprise-grade AI architectures that integrate with existing ecosystems and replace legacy systems responsibly.
Evaluate and select appropriate AI models cloud platforms data pipelines and integration patterns based on client needs and regulatory requirements.
Ensure all solutions adhere to industry security privacy and compliance standards (e.g. financial services healthcare public sector).
Guide clients on AI readiness including data maturity governance and operationalization considerations.
Collaborate with engineering teams to translate conceptual designs into solution blueprints and implementation roadmaps.
3. Business Context Engineering & Value Realization
Analyze client business models KPIs and operational metrics to identify opportunities for revenue growth cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
Prioritize use cases and solution components based on ROI feasibility and strategic impact.
Translate complex technical concepts into clear business insights to support executive decision making.
Develop business cases costbenefit analyses and value-tracking frameworks for AI and transformation initiatives.
Partner with client leadership teams to ensure solutions are adopted successfully and deliver measurable outcomes.
4. Stakeholder Management & Leadership
Build strong working relationships with client executives product owners business leaders and technical specialists.
Manage expectations by communicating progress risks and insights in a transparent and professional manner.
Lead cross-functional teams across strategy design engineering and data disciplines to drive successful project outcomes.
Mentor junior consultants and support internal capability development in AI strategy and consulting methodologies.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Core Consulting Skills
Strong experience in facilitating workshops requirement-gathering sessions and executive-facing discussions.
Ability to break down complex business problems and structure them into actionable strategies.
Expertise in process mapping process optimization and business architecture.
AI & Technology Architecture Skills
Understanding of AI/ML concepts LLMs cloud-based AI services data pipelines and MLOps principles.
Experience designing scalable enterprise architectures particularly in modernization or digital transformation environments.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure AWS GCP) and enterprise integration patterns.
Knowledge of regulatory frameworks relevant to data and AI (e.g. PIPEDA GDPR SOC 2 financial sector guidelines).
Business Context & Strategy Skills
Ability to develop business cases ROI models and solution prioritization frameworks.
Strong understanding of operational metrics financial impacts and the levers that drive client value.
Skill in translating technical requirements and business outcomes.
Leadership & Communication Skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex topics clearly and concisely.
Experience leading cross-functional teams and providing mentorship to team members.
Ability to build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and influence decision-making.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
Consulting experience in technology digital transformation or AI strategy.
Certifications in project management business architecture or cloud technologies (e.g. TOGAF PMP Azure Architect).
Experience with agile delivery models and working in hybrid on-site/remote environments

**CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level geographic market experience and training and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $115000$165000. This role is an existing vacancy.**
