SUMMARY:
The Controller is responsible for overseeing all accounting operations financial reporting and internal controls for a large multi-specialty medical group practice with annual revenues exceeding $350 million. This role ensures compliance with healthcare regulations supports strategic financial planning and leads the accounting team to deliver timely accurate financial information. The Controller supervises accounting staff coordinates audits and partners with executive leadership on financial initiatives. Other duties and special projects as assigned.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field required;
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) strongly preferred (Masters degree may substitute).
- Minimum 7 years of progressive accounting experience with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role.
- Healthcare industry experience required (medical group hospital or large clinic setting).
- Strong knowledge of GAAP healthcare revenue recognition and regulatory compliance.
- Experience with large-scale ERP/accounting systems; high proficiency in Excel and financial reporting tools.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent analytical organizational and communication abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with senior leadership.
PHYSICAL GUIDELINES:
Physical guidelines include the ability to move traverse position self remain in a stationary position and negotiate steps for up to eight hours per day; manual dexterity visual and auditory acuity.
