Job Summary

Special Education Paraprofessional - 1:1/CNACoburn Elementary Coburn Elementary School is seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Paraprofessional to provide individualized support to a student with unique learning and/or behavioral needs. The successful candidate will work closely with the classroom teacher and related service providers to reinforce instruction encourage independence and foster a safe supportive learning and Responsibilities:-Provide direct support to an assigned student to reinforce learning of materials and skills introduced by the teacher. -Assist the teacher in implementing individualized strategies tailored to the students specific needs interests and abilities. -Establish and maintain a positive supportive and respectful relationship with the student to promote social emotional and academic growth. -Support the student during transitions emergency drills assemblies play periods field trips and other school-related activities. -Assist with lunch snack toileting and clean-up routines as needed.-Perform other duties as assigned by the classroom teacher building administration or Superintendent of Schools.-Staff will be trained in student-specific feeding and positioning/:- Must have CNA License- Associates Degree or 48 college credits attained or Workkeys Associate degree preferred.- Citizenship residency or work visa required.- Demonstrated aptitude for the work to be performed- Familiarity with some data collection is preferred.- Ability to work with young active children in the classroom on the playground and in the gym during gross motor : Per Unit D Contract (salary range: $17.67/hr-$22.96/hr - plus an additional $5.00/hr for CNA licensure)
