Job Summary:We are seeking a professional with 5-7 years of experience in Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) and strategy within the renewable energy sector in India. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in deal structuring managing financing model contract negotiation and stakeholder management with a focus on driving growth and innovation in the renewable energy space.

Key Responsibilities:

• Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A): Provide support to the Management on evaluation of M&A deals including analysis of financial models preparation of investment memos conducting thorough due diligence negotiating contracts and overseeing the integration process post-acquisition. This involves working closely with legal financial and operational teams to ensure seamless execution of transactions.
• Partnerships(Equity):Assist in execution of the partnership structure for the pipeline projects and creation of Yieldco. This includes preparation of Investment memo financial models engage with bankers/potential partners manage due diligence and ongoing relationships to ensure mutual benefit and alignment with the companys strategic goals.

• Market Research and Analysis: Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis to identify trends opportunities and the competitive landscape in the renewable energy sector. Use this information to inform strategic decisions and business development efforts. The role requires proficiency in data analysis and the ability to synthesize complex information into clear and actionable insights.

• Stakeholder Management & Reporting:

• Regularly engage with internal and external stakeholders including middle management and regulatory bodies providing updates on M&A and partnership activities.

• Prepare and present clear data-driven reports and presentations on market trends M&A performance and strategic initiatives to middle management and other key stakeholders.

• Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments (finance legal Engineering Operations etc.) to ensure smooth execution of M&A transactions and partnership initiatives.

• Performance Monitoring: Monitor and evaluate the performance of strategic initiatives and partnerships providing regular updates and recommendations to senior management. Use data-driven insights to optimize strategies and achieve desired outcomes. The role requires a results-oriented mindset and the ability to drive continuous improvement.

• Qualifications & Skills:

• Experience: 5-7 years of relevant experience in M&A business development or within the renewable energy sector.
• Education: MBA or Masters degree in Finance Economics Engineering or related fields.
• Industry Expertise: In-depth knowledge of the renewable energy sector in India including solar wind storage and related technologies.
• Financial Expertise: Strong understanding of financial metrics valuation techniques deal structuring and financial analysis.
• Strategic Thinking: Ability to think critically about business opportunities market positioning and long-term growth strategies.
• Contract Management for M&A: ability to negotiate and close the contracts for M&A and partnerships.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex ideas clearly to middle management and external stakeholders.
• Regional Knowledge: Familiarity with Indias renewable energy policies regulations and market dynamics is a must.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with evaluating and closure of investments in renewable energy sector.
• Exposure to regulatory aspects policy frameworks and financing mechanisms specific to Indias renewable energy industry.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment with a hands-on solution-oriented approach.
