Job Description Summary
The Quality Inspector for Avenza Site will be responsible for performing and executing quality control plans and product/process inspections on the shop floor.
He/She will also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives collaborating with Process Quality Engineers Operations and Manufacturing Engineering teams.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
- Guarantee the quality and the completeness of the assembly before next step
- Execute inspectionson components final assemblies and verify the accuracy and completeness of the documentation according to quality control plans and scope of work.
- Manage non-conformity resolutions providing accurate defect description and proposing dispositions. Give instructions on material identification and segregation.
- Perform analysis on defects to drive the shop towards DPU (Defect per Unit) and COPQ (Cost of Poor Quality) reduction
- Contribute to workstation audits findings resolution and standard creation
- Perform incoming inspection and verify documentation accuracy on vendor repaired parts
Qualifications / Requirements
- Bachelors degree Engineering is preferred or high school diploma with proven experience in manufacturing operations or equivalent experience.
Proven experience in turbine assembly would be appreciated
GE products and Quality tools knowledge nice to have
Willing to working on (day) shifts
Ability to collaborate cross-functionally
Good communications skills and results oriented
Good knowledge of English and Italian both written and spoken
Desired Characteristics
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Experience reading and interpreting Engineering Drawings
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
- Strong attention to details
- Ability to bring assignments to a successful completion
- Energetic self-starter capable of working with minimum supervision
