Hourly Pay Range (Minimum - Midpoint - Maximum):

$25.150 - $28.950 - $32.420


The stated pay scale reflects the range that Sharp reasonably expects to pay for this position. The actual pay rate and pay grade for this position will be dependent on a variety of factors including an applicants years of experience unique skills and abilities education alignment with similar internal candidates marketplace factors other requirements for the position and employer business practices.


What You Will Do
To facilitate the evaluation of the tissue biopsies by processing the specimens and by filing the completed reports upon their return to the lab from reference facility. To assist other office laboratory assistants whenever necessary.

Required Qualifications

  • H.S. Diploma or Equivalent


Essential Functions

  • Assists with tissue biopsies tracking
    Logs and processes the paperwork for the tissue biopsies.
    Ensures that the tissue specimens are properly labeled.
  • Customer service
    Efficiently separates physician copies of reports to the appropriate location while maintaining a positive attitude geared towards customer service
  • Filing accuracy
    Accurately files laboratory copies of the lab reports and keeps the files organized so that data can be retrieved efficiently
  • Perform general clerical duties
    Duties include but are not limited to:
    Collects and distributes the mail filing performing computer functions and answers the telephone.
    Answers telephone within five rings identifying self in a courteous manner.
    Transfers calls by staying on the line to introduce caller and problem.
  • Staffing
    Maintains staffing logs and assesses requests for absence from areas (including breaks late/early arrivals and departures vacation and annual leave).
    As needed arranges cover provides suitable alternatives.
  • Teamwork
    Assists in the accurate dissemination of work related information.
    Uses Action logs/Incident Report Forms to address problems within the work setting to provide documentation necessary to make changes.
