SEN Teacher – Dulwich

We are seeking a compassionate skilled and highly motivated SEN Teacher to join a supportive primary school in Dulwich starting as soon as possible. This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about inclusive education and has experience working with pupils who have a range of special educational needs. You will play a key role in ensuring that all pupils can access the curriculum make excellent progress and develop confidence and independence.

As an SEN Teacher you will plan deliver and assess high-quality differentiated lessons tailored to the specific needs of pupils. You will work closely with teaching assistants and other support staff to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and evidence-based strategies that support learning behaviour and social development. You will also liaise with parents carers and external professionals to ensure that pupils receive coordinated and effective support.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan deliver and assess differentiated lessons tailored to pupils individual needs

• Implement IEPs and monitor progress towards targets

• Provide both individual and small-group support for pupils with SEN

• Collaborate with teaching assistants and other staff to ensure inclusive learning

• Promote independence resilience and positive learning behaviours

• Support pupils social emotional and communication development

• Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and behaviour

• Communicate effectively with parents and carers about pupils progress and needs

• Contribute to staff meetings CPD and whole-school initiatives

• Uphold safeguarding procedures and ensure the welfare of all pupils

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Have experience teaching pupils with SEN in a primary setting

• Be patient empathetic and adaptable to meet diverse pupil needs

• Demonstrate excellent classroom management and organisational skills

• Be reflective proactive and collaborative

• Have a strong commitment to inclusion safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
