Job Summary
A high-performing secondary school in Cambridge is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Early Career Teacher of French to join its successful Modern Foreign Languages department from January 2026.
Languages are highly valued within the school with strong uptake at GCSE and a clear focus on developing confident communicators. The MFL department is well-organised and collaborative offering ECTs clear guidance shared planning and excellent mentoring.
The role will involve:
Teaching French across KS3KS4
Supporting students with speaking listening reading and writing
Working within a structured curriculum that builds fluency over time
Developing confidence in assessment and exam preparation
The school is known for its strong academic culture excellent behaviour and thoughtful approach to workload. ECTs are supported through a well-established induction programme that balances high expectations with care and encouragement.
