We are seeking a caring patient and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Peterborough starting as soon as possible. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting pupils with additional learning needs and helping them thrive both academically and socially.

The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant you will work closely with class teachers and the SENCo to provide targeted support for pupils with additional needs. Your responsibilities will include one-to-one support small-group interventions and in-class assistance to help pupils access the curriculum. You will support pupils social and emotional development helping them build confidence resilience and independence.
You will also liaise with parents carers and external professionals to provide consistent support and contribute to personalised learning plans that enable pupils to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
Provide one-to-one and small-group support for pupils with SEND
Assist in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and EHCP targets
Support pupils academic social and emotional development
Promote positive behaviour independence and confidence
Observe record and report on pupil progress
Work closely with teachers SENCo and other support staff
Support pupils during lessons transitions and break times
Contribute to staff meetings training sessions and school initiatives
Maintain a safe structured and inclusive learning environment
Follow safeguarding and child protection procedures at all times
