Job Summary
Job Summary
- Operate cherry picker and stand-up forklifts to load and unload materials and deliveries.
- Move items to and from storage areas machines loading docks vans trucks or storage facilities.
- Assist in receiving handling stocking storing recording and dispatching goods in the warehouse or distribution center.
- Perform various warehouse tasks as required including sorting loading picking packing receiving put away etc.
- Majority of work involves driving a forklift but may assist in other warehouse areas as needed.
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines; prioritize accuracy over speed.
- Utilize basic computer skills and/or RF scanner devices to locate and pick items.
- Use basic math skills for inventory and order fulfillment tasks.
- Maintain good attendance and a strong work ethic for success in the role.
- Lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Work in a non-temperature-controlled environment; may be hot during summer.
- Wear steel toe shoes as required.
- Work Monday through Friday shifts may range from 7:00am to 3:30pm with mandatory overtime possible.
- Temp-to-hire position with a pay increase upon conversion to full-time employment.
- 1 year of forklift experience (stand-up/order picker required); 2 years preferred.
- Must be willing to perform all aspects of warehouse work as needed.
- Work environment can be noisy at times.
