Role Description
As a Business Analyst within the Credit Risk Infrastructure team you will analyze non-IT business problems and articulate requirements to support critical process improvement opportunities. This role requires a strategic thinker capable of assessing process performance identifying alternative solutions and building a common understanding between process owners and solution developers.

Key Responsibilities
Process Analysis: Scrutinize existing non-IT business processes to pinpoint inefficiencies and identify opportunities for modernization.
Documentation: Prepare comprehensive documentation for both current (as-is) and desired (to-be) states.
Requirement Orchestration: Develop detailed business requirements and act as a primary liaison between stakeholders and technical execution teams.
Financial Payback Framework: Create frameworks for assessing financial payback and prepare formal ROI statements for proposed investments.
Strategic Recommendations: Identify and evaluate alternative solutions providing data-driven recommendations to executive leadership.

Required Skills & Expertise
The hiring manager is prioritizing candidates with the following technical proficiencies:

SAS Specialist: 6 10 years of experience using SAS for data extraction transformation and analysis.
SQL Expert: 6 10 years of experience writing complex queries to manipulate and interpret large data sets.
Data Analytics: 5 10 years of overall data experience with a focus on normalizing data for risk modeling.
Credit Risk Domain: Specialized knowledge in Credit Card and Consumer Loan portfolios.

Daily Duties & Team Context
Technical Data Management: Utilize SAS and SQL daily to extract normalize and interpret complex data stacks for portfolio management.
Decision Support: Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for data-driven decisions impacting consumer loan products.
Risk Mitigation: Partner with IT and business units to ensure all technical output aligns with internal risk controls and enterprise standards.

Candidate Success Criteria
Strategic Communication: Strong written and verbal skills to articulate complex business problems and build consensus among stakeholders.
ROI Proficiency: Demonstrated experience in preparing ROI statements and cost-benefit analysis for proposed investment projects.
High-Stakes Problem Solving: Proven ability to resolve situational issues quickly in a fast-paced financial environment.
