Job Summary: Facility Maintenance Technician

- Responsible for effective execution of all maintenance and repair requirements for facility equipment at a newly constructed Civil and Probate Courthouse in Miami FL.
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on HVAC mechanical systems including troubleshooting and detailed system analysis.
- Service repair maintain monitor and adjust various facility systems (HVAC electrical plumbing fire alarm building automation/BMS/BAS chiller pumps heat exchangers and general building systems).
- Conduct repairs on building infrastructure including walls ceilings floors plumbing exterior electrical and furniture systems.
- Plan select and lay out required materials for service repair and preventive maintenance work.
- Provide direction and training to less experienced maintenance technicians as needed.
- Generate requisitions for new supplies tools and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with company safety procedures policies and standards.
- Participate in an on-call rotation schedule for emergency facility issues.
- Work from building drawings schematics equipment specs and verbal instructions; operate hand/power tools and lift equipment.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and establish positive working relationships with coworkers vendors supervisors managers customers and client representatives.
- Utilize software systems such as Procore Microsoft Office Suite and learn new CMMS systems.
- Exhibit excellent attention to detail time management and organizational skills.
- Must be physically able to perform maintenance tasks including climbing ladders working in restricted spaces and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Required to work varying shifts including weekends holidays and special events as needed.
- Must possess Universal EPA Refrigeration Certification and may require a valid driver s license.
- Must pass a background check and subject interview.
- Bilingual ability in Spanish is preferred but not required.
