Job Description
UI Architect Requirements for FIOS Suite Modernization
1. Technical Expertise
Deep experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (React Angular Vue etc.)
Strong understanding of microfrontend patterns (Module Federation Web Components etc.)
Experience with legacy UI migration and integration strategies
Familiarity with shared UI libraries
Knowledge of RESTful APIs GraphQL and backend-for-frontend (BFF) patterns
* Should have expertise in material ui
2. Solution Architecture
Define the overall microfrontend architecture (routing shell/container communication)
Design a strategy for incremental migration of legacy screens to microfrontends
Establish standards for UI consistency theming and branding across microfrontends
Plan for shared authentication authorization and session management
3. Integration & Interoperability
Enable seamless integration of new microfrontends with existing legacy modules during transition
Define contracts for inter-microfrontend communication (events shared state APIs)
Ensure backward compatibility and minimal disruption to business users
4. DevOps & CI/CD
Architect build and deployment pipelines for independent microfrontend teams
Enable independent development testing and deployment of microfrontends
Plan for versioning rollback and hot-reload capabilities
5. Performance & Scalability
Optimize for fast load times (code splitting lazy loading CDN usage)
Ensure scalability for large user bases and high concurrency
Plan for monitoring logging and error tracking in distributed UI
6. Security & Compliance
Enforce secure coding practices (XSS CSRF CORS etc.)
Ensure secure communication between microfrontends and backend services
Comply with accessibility and regulatory standards
7. User Experience
Drive a unified intuitive and responsive user experience across all modules
Plan for mobile/responsive design and cross-browser compatibility
Enable user personalization and role-based UI rendering
8. Documentation & Governance
Document architecture design patterns and migration guidelines
Define coding standards review processes and UI governance
Mentor and guide UI/UX and frontend teams
9. Stakeholder Communication
Collaborate with business product owners and backend architects
Present modernization roadmap risks and progress to leadership
