Our client is seeking an SAP ABAP Developer (Senior). This role is pivotal in providing cutting-edge IT solutions to global operations while ensuring the seamless integration and management of SAP technologies within the Group IT Hub South Africa.

Product / Team Context: The product Picking and Line Supply is creating standardized and stable line supply processes based on customer needs. A task-based supply of parts oriented onto Assembly needs is the focus ensuring parts are delivered within internal manufacturers press plant and painted body logistics.

Qualifications & Experience:

Relevant IT degree or 10 years industry working experience.

Essential Skills:

SAP S4/HANA SAP EWM SAP ECC/R3 and SAP WM.
SAP WM & EWM Module Configuration.
Motivated self-starter who can drive results and work under pressure.
Strong ability to understand and interpret business needs and requirements with an aptitude to move concepts
through to proposal and successful implementation
Ability to work under pressure
Sound Conflict Management skills
Ability to plan organise and prioritise work this includes concurrent running initiatives with varying priorities
Ability to work interdependently as well as independently and to submit deliverables on time and with excellent
quality
Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills with the ability to communicate effectively (both verbally and in
writing) with both technical and non-technical colleagues / users / business representatives
Strong presentation skills
Above-board work ethics
Flexibility to take up different tasks in the project

Advantageous Skills:

Test Automation experience (using Tosca for example)
Development documentation
Analyse and solve SAP Module issues
Conduct SAP Module process configuration
Update and maintain all SAP Module functional documentation
Analyse and scope End-user authorisation roles
Conduct Unit tests Integration tests and System Integration security tests
Proactively propose solutions to improve the support of (new) business processes
Support the functional team with issues and provide a solutions-based approach
Working knowledge of AWM and Agile Tool Chain.
Work to conform to GROUP Group IT Security Instructions.
Work to conform to SAP Development guidelines.
Problem solving capabilities
Ability to work as part of a team
Ability and willingness to coach and give training to fellow colleagues and users when required
Willing and able to travel internationally
Willing to align work hours to GROUP needs (example after hours OPS support)

Key Responsibilities:

Understand/workshop the business requirements preparing AS-IS and TO-BE documents and get sign-off from users for Business Blueprint document
Basic understanding of ABAP debugging (Workbench related knowledge of new development/enhancements)
SAP Configuration EWM WM and MM
Planning preparation documentation and execution of Tests
Integration testing with other modules (PP PM SD MM)
Understand interfaces IDOC and RFCs processing
Preparing and assisting with the migration and cut over for MM and EWM objects
Preparing User manuals and conducting training to business process owners
Go-live preparation and post Go-live support
Interaction with clients through meetings calls and emails
Handling Tickets and Tasks with the responsibility for closing the same within defined SLAs (Service Level Agreements)
Responsible for troubleshooting issues for the system and providing support
Executing the required changes through configuration
Executing the analysis and resolution of Production Support calls
Raising Change Requests (CRs) and writing Functional Specifications for them
Preparing test data for testing of CRs (Change Requests)
Testing CRs (Change Requests) and preparing test results
Carrying out regression testing
Interact with consultants of other modules
User interface transactional solutions
