Position Summary
The Senior Finance Reporting Analyst serves as a functional subject matter expert for financial reporting supporting the design validation and interpretation of finance reports across the organization. This role partners closely with accounting and finance leaders to ensure reporting accuracy consistency and usability particularly during and following the Workday ERP transition.
This position requires a strong accounting foundation advanced analytical capability and the ability to clearly explain financial data to both finance and non-finance stakeholders. This is a reporting and analysis role not an integrations or systems engineering position.
Key Responsibilities
Act as a Finance Reporting SME supporting reporting needs across accounting and finance teams.
Design validate and maintain financial reports used for operational management and regulatory purposes.
Partner with Finance stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate them into clear structured reports.
Analyze financial data to identify trends variances and potential data integrity issues.
Support testing and validation of financial reports during the Workday implementation and stabilization phases.
Ensure reports align with GAAP internal controls and Finance policies.
Explain report logic structure and results to Finance leaders and end users.
Provide guidance and best practices to users on report usage and interpretation.
Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve reporting questions and improve reporting processes.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance Business or a related field (or equivalent experience).
5 years of experience in accounting finance or financial reporting roles.
Strong accounting background with experience interpreting financial statements and reports.
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables lookups complex analysis).
Experience working within ERP environments; Workday experience preferred.
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and data accuracy.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain financial concepts clearly.
