Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse to support an outpatient surgery department within a Level II Trauma Center. This role primarily focuses on same-day outpatient procedures with the flexibility to float to the main OR as needed. The ideal candidate is clinically strong adaptable and experienced in fast-paced perioperative environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide perioperative nursing care for outpatient surgical procedures.
Function as Circulating and/or Scrub RN as assigned.
Prepare operating rooms ensure sterility and assist surgical teams during procedures.
Monitor patient safety and clinical status throughout the perioperative process.
Accurately document patient care using the EPIC EMR system.
Float to the main Operating Room when operational needs require.
Adhere to all hospital policies procedures and regulatory standards.

Shift & Schedule:

8-hour day shifts with varied start times
Some weekend coverage may be required
Holiday coverage required

Qualifications & Experience:

Active California RN license (required).
Minimum of 2 years of recent Operating Room experience.
Prior successful completion of travel assignments.
Experience in outpatient and/or same-day surgery settings preferred.
Ability to adapt to changing case volumes and unit needs.

Certifications Required:

BLS/CPR (required)
ACLS (preferred)
PALS (preferred)

Systems & Equipment:

EPIC EMR (experience required)

Additional Information:

Must be a W-2 employee of the staffing agency.
Strong teamwork communication and patient-safety focus required.
