Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced ASU/PACU Registered Nurse for a full-time contract assignment. This role supports patients in the immediate post-anesthesia and ambulatory surgery setting delivering safe high-quality nursing care while collaborating closely with anesthesia providers and surgical teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide post-anesthesia and recovery care to surgical patients.

• Monitor and assess patients vital signs airway status and pain levels.

• Administer medications and treatments per physician and anesthesia orders.

• Respond appropriately to post-operative complications and emergencies.

• Educate patients and families on post-procedure care and discharge instructions.

• Accurately document patient care and interventions in the EMR system.

• Participate in weekend call rotation as scheduled.

• Adhere to all nursing standards policies and patient safety protocols.

Shift & Schedule:

• Full-time: 36 hours per week

• Day shifts (4 nine-hour shifts)

• Weekend call rotation required

Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in ASU/PACU or Critical Care nursing.

• Strong assessment and critical-thinking skills in post-anesthesia care.

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Licensure & Certifications:

• Active RN license (required).

• BLS ACLS and PALS certifications (required).

Additional Information:

• Accurate and timely completion of timecards is required for payroll processing.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.
