Job Summary

We are looking for a Spice Mill Operator to join our clients team in Belcamp this role you will be responsible for operating machinery that grinds various spices to achieve the desired granulation. Your attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high safety and quality standards will ensure the production of top-quality spice blends. Responsibilities:

Operate all milling processing equipment safely and efficiently.
Ensure the smooth operation of production machinery.
Clean replace and examine mills sifters and other machine parts.
Manage the start and stop processes of the machinery as needed.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
Follow all BRC and company processing guidelines and regulations.
Complete daily logs paperwork and product sampling.
Solve practical problems and troubleshoot equipment.
Follow detailed procedures thoroughly and accurately.
Fill storage hoppers and open slide gates for processing. Use hand tools and operate electrical controls.
Monitor all aspects of the milling production area.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education: High School diploma or GED required.
Experience: At least 1 year of experience in the manufacturing field and machine operating required.

Effective communication skills at all levels including management.
Basic math and problem-solving skills.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for the duration of the shift.
Walk long distances.
Push pull lift and/or carry heavy products such as equipment bags and/or drums weighing up to 100 lbs.
Ability to extend arms with hands overhead or at shoulder height.
Hold grasp or turn objects with the use of hands.
Touch pick up and pinch objects with the use of fingers.
Kneel stoop or bend downwards and forwards.
Ascend or descend ladders and platforms.
Work and walk at heights on platforms at least six feet or higher.
Ability to express or exchange ideas verbally and convey detailed instructions to others.
Ability to hear understand and distinguish speech and/or other sounds such as machinery alarms.
Near and far visual acuity is required.

Work Environment:

Work in an environment that is noisy dusty and may contain spices with high heat intensity.
Understand working in cold and hot temperatures for long periods.
Must be able to read and write in English.
Willingness to work occasional overtime and weekends as needed.

Schedule and Pay Rates:

1st Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
2nd Shift: 3:30 PM - 12:00AM
3rd Shift: 10:30 PM - 7:00 AM
Pay Rate: from $18 to $22 per hour
