Role Overview

Client Corporate Digital Security is seeking a Senior IT Security Specialist with deep expertise in Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning applied to Cyber Security.

This role sits within the Cyber Security Innovation team and focuses on cutting-edge research innovation and solution development for complex cyber security challenges where no off-the-shelf solutions currently exist.

The successful candidate will combine strong academic grounding with applied research innovation delivery and stakeholder collaboration across Client and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Cyber Security Innovation & Research
- Conduct state-of-the-art research in AI/ML-driven cyber security topics.
- Identify emerging threats technology gaps and innovation opportunities.
- Design prototype and internally promote innovative cyber security solutions.
- Publish outputs including technical reports white papers patents and academic articles.
Coordination & Collaboration
- Coordinate cyber security innovation activities across client to ensure alignment.
- Build and maintain strong internal networks with subject matter experts and stakeholders.
- Represent the Digital Security Office in internal and external forums conferences and events.
- Participate in group-wide cyber innovation steering bodies.
Consultancy & Expert Services
- Provide expert consultancy on AI/ML cyber security topics across client business units.
- Support internal projects by ensuring cyber security innovation considerations are embedded.
- Manage onboarding and offboarding of innovation projects for optimal resource utilisation.
External Engagement & Academia
- Collaborate with academic and industry partners providing industrial guidance.
- Support external innovation agreements and partnerships.
- Contribute to academic and joint funding proposals.
- Maintain awareness of commercially available solutions and emerging technologies.
Academic Qualifications
Must Have
- Bachelors degree in Artificial Intelligence Machine Learning or related field.
- Recent PhD or Masters degree with a focus on Cyber Security of AI/ML.
Advantage
- Professional cyber security training or certifications.
- Formal education or certification in cyber security disciplines.
