Job Summary
Based in Glasgow we are currently looking to hire Procurement Specialists! As a key member of our procurement team you will demonstrate exceptional analytical capabilities collaborative spirit and a commitment to operational excellence whilst supporting our business objectives through strategic sourcing and contract management. Responsibilities will include:
- Supporting end-to-end procurement projects including vendor selection proposal analysis contract negotiation and commercial terms assessment to maximise business value and ensure cost-effectiveness
- Developing and maintaining strong collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders and vendor representatives providing transparent communication and managing expectations throughout the procurement lifecycle
- Coordinating contract construction negotiation and evaluation whilst identifying potential risks and proactively implementing mitigation strategies with management
- Monitor supplier performance against agreed terms ensuring adherence to quality delivery and cost objectives
- Implement and refine procurement processes policies and methodologies whilst maintaining comprehensive documentation and records to enhance efficiency and ensure compliance with organisational policies and regulatory requirements
Qualifications :
**Required Skills and Experience:**
- Demonstrable knowledge and proven experience in procurement sourcing or vendor management
- Comprehensive understanding of the strategic sourcing process lifecycle and best practice methodologies
- Strong contract negotiation skills with the ability to secure favourable commercial terms
- Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships across all organisational levels
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications particularly Excel for data analysis and reporting
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate complex procurement concepts clearly
- Exceptional organisational abilities and time management skills capable of managing multiple competing priorities
- Proven analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a methodical detail-oriented approach
**Desirable Skills and Experience:**
- Knowledge of Vendor Management Systems (VMS) or procurement software platforms
- CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) qualification or equivalent professional certification
