Job Summary
To lead the end-to-end new product development process from concept to
commercialization ensuring innovation cost-effectiveness and timely delivery. The NPD
Head will drive cross-functional collaboration customer-centric design and manufacturing
excellence to strengthen the companys competitive edge.
Key Responsibilities
Lead mentor and develop a Manufacturing team and nurture an environment where the
team.
Responsible for overall process planning manufacturing fixtures cutting tools gauge plan
prove out FAI completion & etc.
Responsible for monitoring and enhancing the consistency in the production quality by
implementing the identified best in class manufacturing practices and monitoring its
implementation and sustaining the same over long periods.
Define the robust machining process flow right from RM scope HMC VMC VTL VTM
Lathe conventional operations inspection to final packing.
Prepare competitive RFQ cost workings of new components & Support BD team to win the
new business.
Implement long term / short-term cost-effective manufacturing strategies.
Responsible for shopfloor management discipline 5S & other shop management
requirements.
Selection of Capital Equipment for capacity increase / modernization / new projects.
Mentoring & developing second line & leaders for effective manufacturing management &
guiding them where necessary.
Guide the team is best in practice methods while designing the process fixture & cutting
tools

Programming knowledge of CNC machines like HMC / HBM / VTL / VTM / VMC.
Capable to design Fixture Designing / Cutting Tools Selection.
Sound knowledge of shop floor practices / automation.
Good interpersonal skills / People management skills.
Global best practices exposure would be added advantage.
Strong knowledge of GD&T

- B. Tech with 20 years / DME with 25 Years of experience in Precision
Machine Shop NPD activities
- Desired for the Role
- Work experience from relevant organizations with medium to heavy casting
products / Locomotive Castings & Precision Fabricated Parts / Housings /
Gear Boxes Precision Machining Machine Shop
