Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership:
    • Define and allocate resources based on global NPD requirements and execute on product development initiatives in accordance with the roadmaps defined by the global NPD teams for the AW segment.
    • Represent GCC in global forums influencing product strategy and demonstrating technical capabilities.
  • People & Team Management:
    • Build and lead high-performing cross-domain teams (Mechanical Electronics Software).
    • Foster collaboration across global business units and ensure effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Technical Oversight & Execution:
    • Mechanical Systems:
    • Guide design and development ofpumps valves and fluid handling systems ensuring integration with digital control platforms per the established global design best practices
    • Participate in the development and advancement of the design progress and development of engineering tools techniques and best practices.
    • Provide Design and engineering leadership to GCC design team
    • Ensure design compliance with global standards such as HI ANSI ISO API IEC UL) and product relevant safety regulations.

  • Digital Systems:
    • Oversee architecture and design for electronics-based smart products includingpower electronics PCB design embedded firmware connectivity (IoT) cybersecurity and mobile app integration.
    • Drive development ofsensor-based monitoring solutions predictive maintenance algorithms and machine learning applicationsfor AW systems.
  • System Integration:
    • Provide technical mentorship to bridge gaps between mechanical and digital domains for complete system-level solutions.
    • LeadFMEA risk assessments and validation testingfor integrated products.

  • Process Excellence:
    • Drive improvements in NPD processes includingAgile methodologies design reviews and quality assurance practices.
    • Establish and enforce coding standards documentation protocols and configuration management for software development.
  • Innovation & Collaboration:
    • Promote innovative thinking and systems approach to solve complex engineering challenges.
    • Closely work with global product development leaders and collaborate with marketing and customers to translate requirements into robust designs.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • Education:
    • Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electronics/Software Engineering.
    • Masters degree in management or business is preferred.

  • Experience:
    • 15 years in product development (Mechanical and/or Digital) with at least 5 years in leadership roles.
    • Proven track record in managing cross-functional teams and delivering complex projects.
    • Exposure to electro-mechanical systems and digital technologies (IoT connectivity firmware).
    • Prior experience in a similar industry will be an added advantage.
    • Experience with HI API 610 and ISO standard requirements is desirable.
    • Experience in designing hydraulics for pumps turbines valves and related components is desirable.
    • Experience with turbo machine testing interpreting results and problem solving a plus
    • Working knowledge of Design/Simulation including the ability to apply it in the design and evaluation of turbomachinery hydraulics.
    • Experience with CFturbo and ANSYS CFD preferred but not required.
