Job Summary

Role Description:

Were excited to announce that our team-and our HR department-is growing! We are seeking an experienced HR professional to join our dynamic mission-driven organization. This role is ideal for someone with strong knowledge of California labor laws and HR best practices who is ready to play a key role in helping our company grow.

In this position you will provide hands-on leadership across core HR functions including field employee onboarding compliance policy development and employee relations. You will serve as a trusted resource for both leadership and field employees helping to strengthen processes ensure legal compliance and support the continued development of our people and culture.

Responsibilities

Support and finalize the onboarding process for new field employees.

Assist with processing terminations and resignations for field employees.

Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in compliance with federal and state employment laws.

Communicate professionally with clients co-employees and internal departments to ensure smooth HR operations.

Monitor and support compliance with employment regulations payroll paid sick leave leaves of absence (CFRA/FMLA) and EDD claims.

Skills

  • 3- 5 years of experience in a Human Resources role.
  • Degree related to HR or SHRM certification is preferred
  • Be familiar with California labor laws and related compliance standards.
  • Strong communication / customer service skills when working with employees.
  • Familiar with workplace software such as Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Teams
  • MUST be bilingual in Spanish and English

Job Type: Full-time

Compensation will be negotiated based on experience and alignment with role requirements.

Expected hours: 40 per week
