Client Note

This is an onsite Database Administrator role in Tallahassee FL. The contract runs through June with possible extension. The candidate will support enterprise database operations performance tuning GIS systems and spatial databases.

About

The Database Administrator will handle daily operational and administrative activities for enterprise database environments. This role focuses on planning designing implementing and supporting SQL Server Oracle and PostgreSQL systems including GIS and spatial databases. The candidate will work closely with project managers analysts and infrastructure teams to deliver stable high-performance database solutions aligned with departmental standards.

Required

5 years of experience as a Database Administrator.
Strong experience with SQL Server 2012.
Strong experience with Oracle 19c.
Strong experience with PostgreSQL including spatial databases.
Must have experience with GIS and spatial databases (PostgreSQL & Oracle).
Experience managing ArcGIS for Server ArcGIS Enterprise and cloud-hosted GIS services (ArcGIS Online Azure GIS).
Experience with database performance monitoring and tuning.
Ability to work independently on enterprise production issues.
Strong understanding of relational database design and administration principles.
Ability to prepare database specifications and documentation.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
