Senior UAT & Software Testing Specialist

Location: 1 Commerce Way Little Rock AR 72202 (Hybrid)

Position Overview

We are seeking a DWS Technical Software Specialist to support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) software quality validation and system modernization within a state government workforce services environment. This role works directly with business users QA/UAT teams and IT staff to ensure system requirements are fully documented tested and validated prior to deployment.

The position focuses on batch processing and batch reporting validation resolving issues introduced through cloud-based system transitions and supporting public-facing system interfaces. Candidates with experience supporting state or government enterprise systems structured UAT environments and long-term system modernization initiatives will be the strongest fit.

This is a hybrid role in Little Rock AR and requires experience operating in regulated documentation-heavy environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate UAT and software testing activities across system releases
• Execute manual testing validate outputs and document test results
• Log and track defects with clear detailed documentation
• Plan and manage testing schedules dependencies and deliverables
• Maintain testing artifacts including test plans test cases and test reports
• Support pre-deployment and post-deployment validation activities
• Collaborate with development infrastructure and operations teams during releases
• Validate batch jobs and batch reporting outputs against expected results and prior system versions
• Support system enhancements module integrations and modernization efforts
• Communicate testing progress risks and issues to technical and business stakeholders

Required Qualifications

• 10 years leading planning executing and delivering complex software modernization initiatives
• 10 years capturing system requirements and guiding UAT preparation and execution
• 10 years managing system enhancements and module integrations
• 10 years supporting State Government Workforce Services Systems
• Strong experience working in structured regulated IT environments
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and business users

• Batch processing and enterprise reporting systems
• Cloud-based system migrations or remediation
• Public-facing application interfaces
• Software Quality Assurance (SQA) or UAT leadership experience
