Were looking for a professional who is organized detail-oriented and communicative to support multiple litigation attorneys in a fast-paced team-oriented environment. The ideal candidate will take initiative manage competing priorities and provide excellent support to both attorneys and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage high volume medical malpractice and products liability cases
- Electronically file documents in state and federal courts
- Maintain and organize client files
- Assist attorneys with trial preparation including drafting jury instructions deposition designations witness and exhibit lists etc.
- Update and maintain attorney calendars re: hearings depositions mediations and scheduling orders
- Schedule and coordinate depositions including subpoenas and notices
- Arrange for service of process with sheriffs office and private process servers
- Assist with video conferences and remote depositions
- Track client expenses and submit them for reimbursement or billing
- Communicate with opposing counsel and court clerks serve as liaison between attorneys clients and external contacts
Qualifications:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook Word Excel etc.)
- Familiarity with document management systems and case management software
- Committed to providing excellent legal support
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Effective written and verbal communication
- Minimum of five years of relevant paralegal experience preferred
