Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse - Chemo position focuses on providing specialized nursing care to patients undergoing chemotherapy. This role involves administering chemotherapy treatments monitoring patients for adverse reactions and providing education and support to patients and their families. The position requires strong clinical skills in oncology and infusion therapy as well as excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Location:Chicago Illinois United States
Responsibilities:

- Administer chemotherapy treatments according to established protocols.
- Monitor patients for adverse reactions and complications during and after treatment.
- Provide patient education and support regarding chemotherapy and its side effects.
- Assess patients physical and emotional status and document findings accurately.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate and complete patient records.
- Float within scope to meet facility needs.
Required Skills & Certifications:

- Active Registered Nurse license.
- BLS certification.
- ONS/ONCC certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in infusion center inpatient oncology or outpatient oncology.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:

- Experience with Cerner charting system.
Special Considerations:

- Mandatory float facility; all resources are required to float at the facilitys discretion.
- Limited parking availability. Public transit is highly recommended.
- Must live within 75 miles of the facility.
Scheduling:
- 5x8s 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Monday - Friday.
- No call requirements.
- No weekend requirements.
- RTO: 5 days max with no more than 2 consecutive. No holiday RTO. No RTO the day prior or after a holiday. No RTO on weekends.
