Shift: Monday through Friday: 7:00am to 3: Name: Inpatient wound nurse. Brief Unit Description: Wound nurses respond to consults and manage the wound census throughout the hospital. Years of Experience Required: 2 years of direct wound care experience. Skill Sets Required: Wound staging vac dressing change completion of wound consults and the management of new ostomies. Education Required: Bachelor of Science in Nursing or higher. Clinician to Patient Ratio: Two to Three Wound RN s on per day Monday through Friday. Patient Population: Significant wounds. Census: 400-bed Community Hospital. EMR (Charting System) & Equipment Used: EPIC. Floating Required: No. Rotating Shifts Required: No. Certifications Required: W.O.C.N. or equivalent preferred. AHA BLS.
