Job Summary

Job Title: Java / Spring Boot Engineer

Location: Jersey City NJ (Hybrid)

Type: Contract

Description:

Seeking a Java/Spring Boot Engineer to build and enhance API driven microservices supporting transactional banking products. Role includes development integration with Oracle and deployment on OpenShift.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain Java/Spring Boot microservices for payments and transaction processing.
Build secure scalable REST APIs and integration components.
Write efficient SQL and perform Oracle data integrations.
Deploy and support applications on OpenShift (containers configs troubleshooting).
Participate in design discussions code reviews and performance tuning.
Collaborate with BAs QA DevOps and architects across the delivery lifecycle.

Required Skills:

5 years of experience in Java and Spring Boot development.
3 years of transactional banking (payments cash management real time transactions).
3 years understanding of REST APIs microservices and JSON.
3 years experience with Oracle SQL queries and data modeling.
2 years with OpenShift or Kubernetes.
2 years experience with Git CI/CD and Agile delivery.

Nice to Have:

Cloud platform exposure (AWS/Azure/GCP)
Experience with monitoring/logging tools (Splunk Kibana)
