ERG is seeking a Boiler Technician to support the operation maintenance and repair of boiler systems. This role is critical to ensuring safe reliable and efficient steam and heating operations in compliance with applicable codes safety standards and ERG/client requirements. Thisfull-timepositionisat the Naval Support Facility (NSF) Indian Head. Indian HeadMaryland is approximately 30 miles from Washington D.C.;25 miles from Alexandria Virginia;and 60 miles from Fredericksburg Virginia.

Job Description:

Operatemonitor andmaintainboiler systems including associated pumps valves piping and control systems
Perform routine inspections testing and preventive maintenanceto ensureboilersoperatesafelyand efficiently
Troubleshoot diagnose and repair boiler and auxiliary system issues
EnsureplantoperationscomplywithOSHA EPA state and local regulations as well as site-specific safety requirements
Coordinate with maintenance teams supervisors and facility staff to support overall plant operations

Qualifications and Skills:

At least 2 years of HVAC experience
High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in facilities maintenance engineering or a related fieldispreferred
Experience working in federal or government facilitiesispreferred
Valid boiler operator or boiler technician certification/license as required bythestate or facility
Strong working knowledge of boiler operations controls and safety systems
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals schematics and operating procedures
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
This position will require a pre-employment physical exam
This position requires lifting objects weighing up to 100 pounds
Work may be performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes dust heat ionizingand non-ionizing radiation and chemicals)
You maybe requiredtoparticipatein medical surveillance programs
Must be able to stand walk push pull squat bend and reach during shifts
Must be able to use carts dollies hand trucks and other gear to move items
Must be able to go up and down stairswhere applicable
Must currently hold or be able to obtain a Department of Defense Secret-level security clearance
Must be a U.S. citizenas this position is not eligible for Limited Access Authorizations

$70000 - $90000 a year
