Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manufacturing Finance Manager to join our team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of our manufacturing division and ensuring that all financial processes are in compliance with company policies and procedures. This position will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain financial controls and procedures for the manufacturing division
- Monitor and analyze financial performance providing regular reports to management
- Prepare and manage budgets forecasts and financial plans for the manufacturing division
- Oversee cost accounting and inventory management processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement cost-saving initiatives
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and laws
- Manage and mentor a team of financial analysts and accountants
- Participate in strategic planning and decision-making processes for the manufacturing division
- Provide financial analysis and support for new product development and manufacturing projects
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including suppliers and customers
- Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction within the manufacturing division
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of cost accounting and inventory management
- Experience with financial planning and analysis budgeting and forecasting
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software systems
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Knowledge of financial regulations and laws
- CPA or CMA certification is a plus
Working Conditions:
This is a part-time position with a commitment of 20 hours per week. The Manufacturing Finance Manager will work primarily in an office setting with occasional travel to manufacturing facilities. The candidate must be able to work flexible hours to accommodate business needs.
