MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
The Nursing Manager leads and directs the nursing service in the hospital including patient safety and patient experience and the management of human and other resources.
KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS
- Compile implement and monitor the hospital-specific nursing strategy
- Drive and support a culture of quality nursing care and patient safety
- Manage resources to ensure optimal operational efficiency
- Manage the patient experience
- Lead and manage people in the nursing department
- Manage key stakeholder relations
REQUIRED EDUCATION
ESSENTIAL EDUCATION:
Professional Nurse qualification andPostgraduate Diploma in Health Services Management or an Accredited Management Qualification
Postgraduate Diploma in Nursing when managing a specialist hospital (e.g. Mental Healthcare)

ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
5 years Professional Nurse Experience in a hospital
2 years Nursing Management Experience
