Description of Work

The Business Services Coordinator provides comprehensive administrative and operational support for the Facility Operations and Programs Section which includes Education Clinical and Facility Operations. This position plays a critical role in ensuring efficient business processes compliance with financial and HR protocols and smooth office operations across multiple programs and facilities. The coordinator serves as a key resource for managing contracts budgets and procurement activities while supporting federal programs and grants.

In this role the coordinator oversees a wide range of responsibilities including processing invoices reconciling P-Cards and maintaining accurate records for reporting and decision-making. They provide essential human resources support by assisting with interview scheduling onboarding and compliance monitoring. Additionally the position requires proficiency in multiple technology platforms such as Microsoft Office E-Procurement NCFS and SharePoint to manage workflows effectively. The coordinator also handles office management tasks including scheduling meetings preparing materials managing travel arrangements and overseeing inventory and state vehicle assignments.

Beyond daily operations the Business Services Coordinator facilitates training for staff on business-related processes provides cross-sectional support to ensure continuity of services and participates in special projects and committees as assigned. This role demands strong organizational skills attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams to maintain high standards of operational excellence.

Position will be located at the Juvenile Justice Central Office in Raleigh NC

Work Schedule:

This is a full-time position. Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm

DPS uses the Merit-Based Recruitment and Selection Plan to fill positions subject to the State Human Resources Act with the most qualified individuals.

The Minimum Education and Experience (E&E) is REQUIRED to qualify for this position. Management Preferences including Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs) are not required but may be used to determine the pool of most qualified applicants. Managers may also choose to interview/select applicants who demonstrate Management Preferences.

Management Preferences
